'Hello Goodbye' (3:24), as featured in Top of the Pops 1967

- The Beatles allowed the BBC to film them in the edit suite where they were working on Magical Mystery Tour. This was then turned into a promo by the BBC, who shot their own additional footage. It was then broadcast on Top of the Pops to mark the 'Hello Goodbye' single going to No 1 in December 1967.

Nat's Dream (2:50)

- A scene directed by John featuring Nat Jackley. Not included in the original film.

Ivor Cutler 'I'm Going In A Field' (2:35)

- Ivor performs 'I'm Going In A Field', in a field. Not included in the original film.

Traffic 'Here We Go Round The Mulberry Bush' (1:53)

- The filming of Traffic acting out their 1967 hit single 'Here We Go Round The Mulberry Bush' was commissioned by The Beatles for possible inclusion in Magical Mystery Tour but was not used in the final edit.

In September 1967 The Beatles embarked on making their third film, this time conceived and directed by themselves.
Based on a loose unscripted narrative, in the spirit of the experimental mood of the time, and directed by The Beatles themselves, the film became the vehicle to present 6 new songs - Magical Mystery Tour, The Fool On The Hill, Flying, I Am The Walrus, Blue Jay Way and Your Mother Should Know.

Now, 45 years on, the virtually forgotten film has been fully restored and is being presented properly for the first time.

The restoration of Magical Mystery Tour has been overseen by Paul Rutan Jr. of Eque Inc., the same company that handled the much acclaimed restoration of Yellow Submarine. The soundtrack work was done at Abbey Road Studios by Giles Martin and Sam Okell.


All of the packages contain a host of special features, packed with unseen footage. There are newly-filmed interviews with Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and other members of the film's cast and crew, as well as a director's audio commentary recorded by Paul.

A mi me gusta mucho la música de The Beatles pero sus peliculas siempre fueron malisimas, yo lo que hago en estos casos es ver las partes en donde cantan y asi me la llevo brincadome las escenas.

Entonces The Beatles Anthology es para tí, es básicamente eso, además del documental.

Lo que deberian de lanzar a la venta es una recopilación de sus presentaciones en vivo, remasterizadas en audio y video. Por ejemplo, en el Show de Ed Sullivan, Shea Stadium, Tokyo, Washington D.C. etc.

Si, el de Yellow Submarine era americano, pero luego EMI, no es consistente los blu reay de Iron Maiden, del "Somewhere Back In Time Tour" y del "Final Frontier Tour" son holandeses, así que a esperar...

Sabia que era una película muy fumada y si lo es PERO escuchar a The Beatles en HD es ¡otro rollo!

Hijole, entiendo que para todo hay gustos, pero la portada se me hace HORRIBLE.

Lo bueno es que lo importante es el contenido y que los fans estén felices con la calidad ofrecida.

Es la portada del album y de la película, aquí si no había de otra, la gente y principalmente los fans ya tienen identificado este material por dicha portada.

Ya ven, como se los dije EMI, no es consistente con las importaciones, esta vez nos tocó versión de UK, para mí, mejor...

Yb sí como bien dice Gonzalo, ya me imagino que oir a los Beatles en HD es otro boleto...

Me llama la atención... jamás he visto ésta película pero mi papá la ha mencionado varias veces...
de las canciones quevienen Fool on the hill y I am the walrus son las que me agradan. Basicamente

La portada es precisamente referencia a I am the Warlus y como lo comenta Homero esa es la portada del disco, este disco data de Dic. del 67 por lo que criticar un portada "horrible" me llamo por demás la atención; seria como que al disco de Abbey Road le cambiaran el arte, que no es lo mismo las n mil parodias con n mil gentes que se han hecho, esa imagen es memorial e histórica.

Y entiendo muy bien el concepto de la portada, su año y todo, es solo que -híjole- de verdad es para coleccionistas.
En efecto al leer la sinopsis que pegaron allá arriba me doy cuenta de que es cuando agarraron su onda extraña y psicodélicamente abstracta. La critico basándom en los estándares de hoy pero sin duda no me duele ya que soy fan de portadas como la de Iron Butterfly enla de In a Gadda da vidaque es una vil foto con manchas.
Creo que mas bien ver a La Morsa en su esplendor hace que me doble de "cosa" siento que de origen ya viene polvosito y con ruido del Vinil.

Pero es todo y creo es genial como coleccionistas.

Ya la compré, solo que me quedé con la duda si debe traer o no slipcover... la mía no lo traía.

las que yo he visto, tampoco, ahí nos cuentan del transfer, yo la compraré hasta el miércoles que cobro, para verla el fin de semana largo...

Yo tengo también este DVD (no oficial), y en comparación sí hay una gran mejoría, sobre todo en el audio
