Mirimax Home Video have today confirmed a delay for the region one release of Kill Bill: Volume One which stars the lovely Uma Thurman and Lucy Liu. The disc was originally scheduled for a release on the 3rd February this year, but because of the delay to the theatrical release of Volume Two, the disc has now been put back until March at the earliest. Volume Two is now scheduled for a theatrical release in April. I'm afraid that's all we know at present, but we'll let you know as soon as we hear anything else. We're expecting the official announcement to arrive within the next few weeks, so stay tuned for that!

We've now received word from multiple sources that Mirimax is planning to release volume one of Kill Bill this April. We had already reported a delay until at least March, but it looks like Mirimax want to release the first film just ahead of volume two's theatrical debut on the 16th April. The official announcement has yet to arrive for this one, but we'll obviously bring you the details as soon as they become available to us.

The disc will indeed arrive on the 13th April as we had originally reported, and should set you back somewhere in the region of $29.99. I'm afraid fans of extra material will be a little disappointed with this first release. Only one extra feature will be included - a behind the scenes program hosted by director and writer Quentin Tarantino. No doubt an all singing, all dancing edition will be arriving in a few months time! Anyway, here are the official disc specs, and we'll bring you the region one artwork as soon as it becomes available to us:

Apenas ayer pude ver esta pelicula y de verdad que está... ¡SOBERBIA!
De compra obligada en DVD.

Echácatamente mi estimado Vicco, es el mismito póster mexicano. De hecho he querido conseguir el poster del tamaño del que hay en las paradas de los camiones, que es más grande que el que ponen en el cine, pero cuando pregunto en el cine, todos se pasan la bolita y dicen que es diferente distribuidor.
Por cierto las pose en la portada del dvd es diferente, es decir, es otra toma en la misma sesión de fotos. En el del dvd se ve bien buento, no tanto así en el poster de los cines.

Hmm conra, se me hacía que estaba parada un poco distinto... como sea, chido, yo ando consiguiendo una manta en un cine, ya me dijeron que me la van a regalar, pero tengo que ver nuevamente a esta persona y esperar que salga de cartelara aqui (considerando que apenas lleva una semana).
Y en dónde piensas meter la manta?, están algo grandes a comparación de cualquier poster. Bueno, sólo pregunto

TEngo una pared en mi cuarto donde si cabe, ésta no se ve tan grande, es como de dos o tres metros de alta o algo así, es que la ví desde abajo, pero si no, ahi veo donde la acomodo, yo no me quedo sin ella (menos ya que me dijeron que sí me la van a dar).
Aqui el poster aleman (Creo) que es igual al Mexicano, salvo por el idioma, claro. La versión 1 del sitio también esta fregona (como para Teaser)

Ante la inminente salida de un pack con los dos volumenes de Kill Bill que tendra mas extras y que estas verisones tienen muy poco material adicional, decidi cancelar mi orden en Amazon y esperarme unos mesesitos mas para hacerme de el pack completo que en una de esas hasta es una edición extendida y sin censura.

Ya ando considerando eso también, sobre todo porque no han mencionado nada de los extras de esta edición. Más que los trailers, creo.
De acuerdo a la review de Digital Bits solo tiene un featurette, unas escenas de las 5678'scantando dos rolas y todos los trailers de las movies de Tarantino.
Vean este fragmento de el review que me hizo tomar la decisón de esperarme a la mega edición especial.

What you do get here includes a 20-minute featurette on the making of the film, performance footage (from the film) of the 5, 6, 7, 8's raging through two songs, and trailers for all of Tarantino's other films, as well as the teaser and "bootleg" trailers for this film and the teaser for the sequel. The featurette isn't fluffy exactly, but it's isn't very substantial either. QT, Uma and other cast and crew members talk about the origins of the film, its cinematic influences and references, and how the production went. Like we said, Kill "light". By the way, the extras are all non-anamorphic, which is just lame and unnecessary, "light" or not. The menus, however, are anamorphic and they're damn cool.
