And fans of catalog classics new and old should mark June 1st on their calendars, as Miramax will release new special edition reissues of three cult faves: Trainspotting, Flirting with Disaster and Cop Land, starring a festively plump Sly Stallone. Full specs have not yet been announced, but all will be newly remastered and stocked with extras. Stay tuned for more.

Se de varios "fans" de Trainspotting, así que con un poco de suerte la lanzan con subs en español (aunque es raro... yo en un Vips vi la de Trainspotting R4 comercializada por Miramax... supongo que caducaron los derechos y los agarró Chafity)
Quality es el distribuidor de Buenavista en México y como ya lo señale en algun otro post el logo de Miramax aparece al principio de Trainspotting, asi que pudiera ser que esas ediciones especiales las tuvieramos por aca.
pero dicen que la de trainspotting de quality esta en FS, no?... es seguro que la de Miramax en R1 va a tener espectacular WS anamórfico
Yo tengo la de edición anterior de Trainspotting en R 1, y es letterbox. En España e Inglaterra ya salió la edición especial el año pasado Ya espera ésta nueva versión en R 1.
La de Copland también la pienso comprar en ésta nueva edición porque también la anterior es letterbox.

Pues tristemente asi es, aunque como hemos visto en otros titulos, Miramax lanza directamente el DVD y Quality solo distribuye.
Trainspotting R4 es wide no anamorfico, aunque la caja dice que es full.

Como "La Vida es Bella" pertenece a la Miramax Collector Series, me late que va a haber un relanzamiento de esta en WS anamórfico, y hasta con un poco de suerte con subs en español (ojalá!)

Just in from Buena Vista Home Entertainment are the full specs for three new additions to the Miramax Collector's Series line, all due on June 1st. At last getting the two-disc treatment, Danny Boyle's Trainspotting will feature a new 1.85 anamorphic transfer, Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS surround tracks, an audio commentary with Boyle and crew, deleted scenes with optional commentary, both the original and a new making-of featurette, vintage interviews from the Cannes Film Festival, a still gallery and trailers. Retail will be $29.95.
Also due on the 1st are two cult favorites, both of which will be single-disc sets and priced at a cheaper $19.95 a pop. James Mangold's Cop Land will get a new 116 minute director's cut in 1.85 anamorphic widescreen and Dolby Digital 5.1, plus an audio commentary with Mangold, producer Cathy Konrad and actors Sylvester Stallone and Robert Patrick, deleted scenes with optional commentary, "The Making of an Urban Western" documentary, a storyboard gallery and theatrical trailers. Finally, there is the comedy favorite Flirting With Disaster, which is also remastered in 1.85 anamorphic and Dolby Digital 5.1, and includes deleted scenes, outtakes, a vintage featurette and theatrical trailers.

And Buena Vista has updated the cover artwork for the Trainspotting: Collector's Series by adding "Exclusive Director's Cut 2-Disc Set" at the bottom of the packaging. Please be aware that this version is still the 94-minute cut, only with the few seconds of "racy" footage (removed for the MPAA) and un-dubbed Scottish brogue restored as in the Criterion laserdisc and previous Buena Vista DVD versions.[/b]
