El proximo 5 de octubre Warner lanzara por fin la ya tan esperada edicion especial de esta pelicula de Tim Robins y Morgan Freeman.

Cita:Warner has at last announced the special edition of The Shawshank Redemption which stars Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman. This hugely popular Frank Darabont directed film will be available in both two-disc special edition and deluxe limited edition sets from the 5th October this year. Retail for the standard special edition will be $26.99, whereas the limited edition will retail for $44.99. Both sets will feature new 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen transfers along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Track. Extras will include an audio commentary by director Frank Darabont, a Shark Tank Redemption spoof, two in-depth documentaries, photo gallery, storyboards, a 2004 Charlie Rose Show Segment, the films theatrical trailer, and other DVD-ROM features that have yet to be confirmed. In addition to all this, the limited edition will include film historian Mark Kermode’s book about the movie’s production and huge popularity along with Thomas Newman's soundtrack.

Que pelicula! a lo mejor la compro, aunque la portada no es muy de mi agrado.

QUÉ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pero si el cover está en verdad precioso..... yo voy por la edición de colección..... con soundtrack incluído..... mmmm..... por allí recibirán el STL...... por cierto..... en davisdvd.com ya la anunciaron con sus respectivos subs en español.....

Yo tengo la edición R4, pero me gustó mucho esta película que igual me animaría por esta nueva edición, y coincido con Homero, la portada no me agradó mucho .

Hope is a good thing," for fans of The Shawshank Redemption, who have long prayed for a proper, full-fledged special edition to hit DVD. That day will come on October 5th, when Warner Home Video will release two new deluxe sets of the Frank Darabont modern classic. Although not a box office hit upon first release, the film did go on to garner multiple Oscar nominations (including a nod for Best Picture) and became one of the biggest home video hits of the 1990s. Given the film's much-whispered about troubled production (reportedly due to a certain star's bratty behavior) these upcoming DVDs will hopefully be good ones...

Warner will release the film in two new sets, both two-disc affairs boasting . a 1.85 anamorphic transfer, a Dolby Digital 5.1 surround track and new audio commentary track with Darabont. The second disc will feature not one but two new 45-minute documentaries, The Charlie Rose Show episode featuring Darabont and stars Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman, plus storyboard and still galleries, the "Shark Tank Redemption" short film spoof, theatrical trailers and ROM extras to be announced. A Deluxe Limited Edition three-disc set will also debut the same day, featuring a collectible slipcase package, a new book by Mark Kermode on the making of the film, and Thomas Newman's original soundtrack on CD. Retail will be $26.95 and $44.95, respectively.

And to help prime the pump for the new DVD, watch for a special two-week limited theatrical re-release to begin on September 24th in selected cities.

Lastima que no pueda vender mi vieja edicion R4. Fue un regalo de mi novia y mi primer dvd.
Nop. No me gusta la portada, aunque la edicion de lujo se ve mejor con el borde claro. Pero, ay $$$$!!!

definitivamente soy el único que ha gozado con el nuevo cover... en fin.... la edición de colección es la voz.... espero que Amazon.com la coloque en preventa para enviar STLs....

ya me decidí..... voy por la edición simple... pero esperaré la edición Z4 con todo subtitulado...... el soundtrack es el mismo que tengo, así que no me convence el libro..... voy a esperar que se manifieste Warner en Z4.....

La adición anterior R 4 no tiene extras, aunque sí es anamórfica y 5.1, aunque los canales traseros casi ni se escuchan, hace tiempo la cambie por otro dvd ya que no soy tan fan de la película como ustedes :wink:

Pues no Romino, yo pensaba que no porque en amazon no dicen nada de subs y por lo que comentaba lucho en este mismo tema....
De todos modos no estaria mal que una vez que te llegue nos pusieras aqui si en verdad trae todo subtitulado...

Pues confirmado mi estimado Erik, ya me llego mi copia de esta pelicula y si tiene subs en español la pelicula pero en los extras no tiene ni subs en ingles.
Pero eso si la imagen es de primera y el sonido muy bueno tambien, si no te importa que no haya subs en los extras es altamente recomendable.

Aunque igual tendra que esperar al año que viene porque por este año ya raspe la tarjeta... :wink:

Totalmente de acuerdo con Romino, el audio y video es de 10. No se si remasterizaron la edicion anterior o no, pero esta es excelente. En lo que se refiere a la pelicula en si, es muy buena tambien.
