Este fin de semana, algunas cuentas de clientes de DeepDiscount DVD y CD podian ser vistas por otros usuarios.

Según la información, los que se registraron (sign up) a la página, en el fin de seman podian ver las cuentas(compras, datos de envio, etc) de otros.

Aqui esta una carta publicada en DVDTalk por parte de personal de DeepDiscount:

Cita:Dear DeepDiscountDVD.com Customers,

For a short period some customers logging on to DeepDiscountDVD.com & DeepDiscountCD.com were able to see account information of other customers. However, during this period credit card information was never available.


The problem arose after a new content delivery service was implemented on DeepDiscountDVD & DeepDiscountCD.com web sites. The content being displayed was from cached pages and not from the customers' database. As soon as we were notified of the problem the sites were shut down and the content delivery service was turned off. The error only occurred during the short time that the content delivery service was operating and effected only a small amount of customers logged on during this time.

The problem appeared to persist for a few customers who logged on during this period and had someone elses information cached on their computer. We are confident that no credit card information was compromised at any time and our database was never compromised.


We take these matters very seriously and would never allow the sites to continue to operate if we felt that your personal data was in jeopardy. Your security and your trust are of the utmost importance to us and we do everything possible to make certain that your transactions are secure. We will review each order placed over the weekend as another confirmation that the problem was not widespread. We are reviewing the procedures that caused this event so that it does not happen again.

We apologize for any inconvenience this caused you. You have been loyal customers for several years now and we value each and every one of you. You can be certain that your transactions at DeepDiscountDVD.com and DeepDiscountCD.com continue to be secure and that we will continue to monitor this situation.

Parece que ya todo volvió a la normalidad, ojalá todo haya quedado bien

Estoy leyendo los posts de DvdTalk y al parecer al principio no se podían logear pero ya parece que todo está bien, espero que en pago a todo este mal rato, se mochen con un descuento en los dvds
