Universal has also announced the complete first season of Kojak which stars Telly Savalas, Dan Frazer, Kevin James Dobson and George Savalas. The three-disc package will be available to own from the 8th March this year, and should set you back somewhere in the region of $39.98. Each of the episodes will be presented in 1.33:1 full frame along with English Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono tracks. English, French and Spanish subtitles will also be available. I'm afraid Universal has yet to reveal details on the extra material for this one, but we'll let you know just as soon as we hear anything. We'll also bring you artwork shortly.

Kojak - Look for Season 1 DVDs in March after all!

Back on Christmas Day - just 10 short days ago! - we let you know that Kojak - Season 1 was coming in 2005. We even included a (somewhat fuzzy) small picture of the cover art with an oval that said this set was coming in March...but we warned you that it might not make it in that month, per our discussion with Universal Studios Home Video.

Well, we're happy to tell you we were incorrect about the delay! This morning Universal announced that Kojak - Season 1's 3-DVD box set will arrive on March 8th. It will come in the original full-frame video, with English Mono sound. French and Spanish subtitles are an option, and it's close captioned for the hearing impaired. The 3 DVDs are all double-sided to accomodate the hour-long police drama starring Telly Savalas, and the running time comes to 1118 minutes. The price will be $39.98 SRP.
