Outer Limits, The (New) - MGM announces 24 new ep's on 4 DVDs, plus a 6-disc box set
At the end of January, we passed on a "Rumor Mill" post from The Digital Bits website that four new "best-of" DVDs from 1995's The (New) Outer Limits were on-the-way in June from MGM. Now the studio has officially announced those releases, plus a nice box set collecting all six items for the sci-fi anthology series.
June 21st is the day these land on store shelves. The cost of the box set hasn't been announced yet, but the four new single-disc releases go for $14.95 SRP each. All of them are full-screen, with English Surround Sound and are closed captioned. Expect running times hovering around 4.5 hours for each DVD.
Here's your first look at the cover art for the four new releases. Left-to-right you'll see Aliens Among Us, Death & Beyond, Mutation & Transformation, and Fantastic Androids & Robots. At the bottom center you'll see the slipcover for the box set, and on the left and right bottom corners you'll see thumbnail shots of the two older (2002) DVD releases, Sex & Science Fiction and Time Travel & Infinity. Both of those titles are also included in the 6-DVD box set
