Everybody Loves Raymond - Series Finale Hits DVD 8 Days After Airing!

Warner Home Video is taking a "Friends-ly" appoach to the conclusion of the 9-year-long series Everybody Loves Raymond. The final episode of the show is expected to air on May 16th, and the DVD is now announced to arrive the following week, on Tuesday May 24th. Here's the studio description:

How do you say goodbye to the show The New York Times called "The sitcom of our times?" Find out as the series bids a fond farewell, delivering the same good cheer and classic humor that has charmed us for nine seasons. DVD includes the series finale plus the original pilot episode of Everybody Loves Raymond which aired on CBS on September 16, 1996!

That's right, the pilot episode is included on this release as a bonus item. Since both first and last shows are only half-hour episodes, the running time on this DVD is going to be less than sixty minutes. The cost for this is appropriate, though...just $9.97 SRP!

Warner's announcement says that the video format is Anamorphic Widescreen. It's not entirely clear if that applies just to the finale, or also to the pilot episode as well. Only an English soundtrack is provided. Here's the cover art:

Hace unos dias me toco ver una entrevista en Larry King LIVE (CNN) en donde decian que finalizaban la serie para que la gente siempre la recordara con la calidad de programa que los caracterizaba. La verdad, nunca me llamo la atencion esta serie.
