En otras noticias de Paramount, fans del gran chico en máscara de hockey han clamado por re-ediciones especiales de la serie Friday the 13th, asi que hablamos con Martin Blythe la cabeza de publicidad de Paramount Home Entertaiment, quien tuvo algunas buenas noticias para los fans del sultan de las matanzas en campo veraniego.

Manteniendo los derechos de distribución para los primeros ocho filmes en la serie que nunca termina, Paramount esta actualmente en la etapa inicial para planear nuevas ediciones de las peliculas Friday, aunque pese a la limitada disponibilidad de materiales de archivo, justo lo que requeriria un lanzamiento de este tipo para tomar forma.

Tampoco hay palabra si sera posible incluir versiones sin-cortes de los filmes, las cuales siempre han sido las más buscadas por los fans de las series.

Y sobre la fecha de lanzamiento, se espera su llegada para fines del 2004"


Excelente amigos, solo espero que sean de verdad las versiones un-cut y con extras de calidad. La verdad New Line ha demostrado su respeto a Friday the 13th con la parte 9 y 10. Ojala Paramount haya aprendido algo.

Pues que bien por los fans de esta serie, ya únicamente haría falta que New Line o quien tenga los derechos del resto de las películas, sacara un Box Set similar.

Si, es una buena noticia. Sobre New Line, pues no haria falta, solo son 2 peliculas de ellos: Jason Goes To Hell y Jason X. Ambos excelentes DVDs.

Si lo se, realmente en este caso los subtítlos no importan mucho, porque solo las voy a ver yo, pero nunca he visto el set importado en ningún lado en México.

Ya confirmaron en Digital Bits la edicion especial de Friday the 13th.

Ready to slash its way to stores in time for Halloween, Friday the 13th: From Crystal Lake to Manhattan - The Ultimate Edition DVD Collection will arrive on October 5th from Paramount Home Entertainment. While fans undoubtedly hoped for uncut, bloodier versions of all eight of the Paramount flicks, the set will include the R-rated cuts of each film (all in anamorphic widescreen, with parts 1 to 5 in Dolby mono, 6 and 8 in 2.0 surround, and only 7 in full blown 5.1) spread two pics apiece across four dual-layer discs. Extras include audio commentaries on Parts 3, 6, 7 and 8, plus the "Killer Extras" bonus disc with five featurettes, trailers for all of the flicks and deleted scenes and censored footage. Paramount has set no retail price, but suggested list will be around $59.95. Paramount Home Entertainment has just announced Friday the 13th: The Ultimate DVD Collection for release this October. The five-disc set features the entire collection of Paramount’s eight Friday the 13th films, two-per-disc, plus a fifth disc that is dedicated to many hours of behind-the-scenes material on the history and folklore associated with the classic horror series. Each of the films will receive anamorphic widescreen presentations and both English Dolby Digital and French Mono tracks. As for extras you can expect the set to include a cast commentary on Friday the 13th Part 3 by author Peter Bracke and actors Larry Zerner, Paul Kratka, Dana Kimmell and Richard Brooker, a commentary on Friday the 13th Part VI by director Tom McLouglin, a commentary on Friday the 13th Part VII by actor Kane Hodder and director John Carl Buechler and a commentary on Friday the 13th Part VIII by director Rob Hedden. Se esperaba algo mas, como versiones uncuts y mas extras, según son los mismos transfers de las ediciones pasadas, aunque a lo mejor lo compro.

Las ediciones anteriores tambien traian subs?

Decepciona que no sean versiones uncut pero aún asi parece una gran edición, yo tengo sueltas en R4 3 partes y todas las de New Line R1, me desharé de las primeras e iré por el pack, al fin.

Yo también comprare el pack, que bueno que tiene subtítulos.

Hola, oigan es cierto que el material extra esta sub. en español? se los comento porque en una reseña dicen que el material extra esta sub. en español, ingles y frances, asi como cada película, lo dé los sub. en español ya lo comentarón ustedes.
