Cita:On Friday, March 18th, at 8:30pm, the world will finally get to see director Paul Schrader's Exorcist: The Original Prequel at the 23rd Brussels International Festival of Fantastic Film. Schrader will be present for the screening.
Schrader was originally hired to shoot Exorcist: The Beginning, but when Morgan Creek Productions saw his cut - a more psychological horror film and not the expected special effects extravaganza - the studio decided to reshoot the movie with Renny Harlin at the helm. That movie, which was released last August, has earned $76.9 million worldwide.
The trailer for Schrader's version is included on the DVD for Harlin's version, coming to stores on Tuesday, March 1st. Bloody-Disgusting has posted a link to where you can download the trailer in Windows Media format.
