MacGyver - Cover for MacGyver - The Complete 2nd Season

Within the past couple of weeks we've passed along listings from online retailers about MacGyver - The Complete 2nd Season, and it's planned ship date of June 7th. Paramount still hasn't officially announced this title yet, so we're still staying tuned for that. However, some of the e-tailers are posting cover art for this set, and the design is very nice so we wanted to pass it along to our readers:

Por cierto ahora estas cajas de Paramount ya no vienen en digipack, ahora los discos vienen en unas cajas de plastico delgaditas, una caja para cada disco.

No se uds. pero a mi me late mas este tipo de cajas ya que con los digipack tienes que sacar toda la caja de discos y de tanto estar metiendo y sacando un solo disco de la caja a la larga se llegan a rayar y ya no hay forma de arreglarla ó cambiarlas.

MacGyver - Official Paramount Announcement Includes Final Cover Art (in 3-D!)
Posted by David Lambert
3/23/2005

Thanks to our online retail partners like Amazon, DVDEmpire, and DVDPlanet, we've already had word since early March that MacGyver - The Complete 2nd Season is coming out on June 7th. We were even able to show you an early look at the cover art prior to the formal studio release information being distributed to the press.

Now Paramount has made that announcement, confirming the 6/7/05 release date for a 6-DVD set. Running time is 1047 minutes. No official SRP will be set for this title, but expect retailers to sell it for " around $30 (around C$40 in Canada)". No extras were announced for this season, so it will be episodes-only just as with the previous release. Here's the studio's description of the set, followed by revised cover art (a hang-gliding/Capitol building shot was replaced by MacGyver repelling down the side of a cliff in front of an explosion):

MacGyver (Richard Dean Anderson) is a modern-day "knight-errant," a person people turn to in a crisis. He has a penchant for arriving on the scene in the eleventh hour, when the clock is ticking ominously and innocent lives often are at stake.

MacGyver is a packrat, collecting ordinary items of seemingly little value and stashing them in his knapsack "for a rainy day." And it is these same items that he uses to improvise his way out of trouble. MacGyver's ingenius solutions to seemingly insurmountable problems may seem like "gee-whiz" science fiction but they are not - it's all based on scientific fact.
