El LPCM es el de mayor bitrate y entiendo que ahi mencionan que el DD HD y DTS HDMA, son codecs para ahorrar espacio ya que si pusieran la LPCM ocuparia mucho espacio en el disco.
También ponen:

If one codec is a higher bitrate, all that means is it's less efficient at packing bits, but the sound is the same, by definition the sound has to be the identical.
