Muere Christopher Reeve a los 52 años

I'm shocked to discover how upset I am over the news that Christopher Reeve died last night. It's not so much that he was Superman, nor the importance that the original film holds in my life. Moreso, it was his infectious belief that he would walk again.

I believed Christopher Reeve when he would publically state that he would one day stand out of his chair and take a step. I think that in light of recent events, it was something hopeful to believe in. I've talked to a lot of my friends about this today and we all agree that the most unsettling thing is that we all honestly believed that he would pull it off.

Y leyendolo recordé como esperaba que en alguna futura presentación, apareciera y nos daría la sorpresa levantandose de su silla, realmente creía que fuera posible... pero ya no fue... que triste, realmente.
