Kung Fu - 3rd Season Cover Preview

We don't have release information for you yet, but Warner Home Video has been gracious enough to provide cover art for the Kung Fu - The Complete 3rd Season box set. You can see it below. Our only gripe is that Warner is directing these covers to be the same design each time, just with a different color scheme. Ah, well...good to know that these releases are still coming out on a regular schedule. We look forward to passing on the details, just as soon as the studio provides them.

Kung Fu - The Original Show's Final Season is Announced For DVD

This past weekend we gave you the preview of the box art for the 3rd (and final) series of the original Kung Fu, and now Warner Home Video has announced the full details of the release. This 4-DVD set will arrive on August 23rd, running 1221 minutes for all 24 thrid-season episodes featuring Kwai Chang Caine's journey through the Old West. Look for a lot of recognizable faces among the guest stars, including Stefanie Powers, John Vernon, Sondra Locke, Ken Swofford, Patricia Neal, Eddie Albert, Barbara Hershey, Wilford Brimley, Jose Feliciano, John Carradine, Leslie Nielsen, and some guy named William Shatner.

Look for an Audio Commentary as well as a documentary called "David Carradine's Shaolin Diary: Back to the Beginning", which was shot in China with David Carradine tracing his trip to the Shaolin Temple Monestary...neat.

Video is in the Original Aspect Ratio of 1.33:1, and sound is original as well since it comes on this set as English Mono 1.0; subtitles are on board in English, French, and Spanish, plus this is closed captioned. Cost for this is $39.98 SRP.

Will Warner continue Caine's journey beyond this with Kung Fu: The Legend Continues? We don't know of any reason why they wouldn't, but the studio hasn't said one way or the other. Stay tuned, and if we find out anything we'll certainly let you know!
