Lanzamientos Disney 2013

Los extras que vienen manejando en estos lanzamientos por lo general son pasados del DVD en SD, por lo que 7gb a lo mucho si caben perfectamente.

Se me hace que es una practica para ahorrar costos (como lo de Wizard of Oz) y darle en la torre al consumidor.

Primero estuvieron experimentando con México y otros paises, y ya se los están aplicando a sus adorados USA.

Disney is well aware of the appeal and reach of its catalog, down to the best and worst films in its canon. Titles like Cinderella and Peter Pan arrive separately and to great fanfare, while other titles shuffle onto shelves en masse, sans the red-carpet treatment afforded their Platinum and Diamond Edition brethren. In August 2012, it was The Aristocats, The Rescuers, The Rescuers Down Under, Pocahontas, Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World, The Tigger Movie and Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure, all released on the same day. Earlier this year, in March, it was The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Hunchback of Notre Dame II, Mulan, Mulan II, Brother Bear and Brother Bear 2. And now animation fans can add six more movies to their Blu-ray collection with Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Atlantis 2: Milo's Return, Lilo & Stitch, Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch, The Emperor's New Groove and Kronk's New Groove.

But something is amiss this go around. Once again, the original films and their direct-to-video sequels are paired on single BD-50 discs. This time, though, only Atlantis includes special features on the Blu-ray disc itself. Extras for Lilo & Stitch and The Emperor's New Groove (and their sequels) are relegated to the bonus DVD copies in each 2-Movie set. Moreover, video and audio are vastly improved, but the transfers suffer from a number of (admittedly minor) issues. Combined with the displaced extras, it's hard to miss Disney's diminishing standards. Packing a 2-Movie Collection on a single disc is becoming more and more important to the studio; more important than delivering the fullest, most intuitive experience.

The FSK (Voluntary Self-Monitoring of the film industry) has recently released a trailer for the 50th Anniversary from the Disney classic "Mary Poppins" (Great Britain, USA 1964) tested. The long at 24 frames per second, 1 minute and 37 seconds trailer was unsurprisingly released "without age restriction" and gives a first indication of a possible release of the classic on Blu-ray Disc Although currently have no information about a high-definition release of available, we expect a release of approximately 2.5 hours long on the novels by PL Travers based musical until next year. In 2009 it was the 45th Anniversary with a special DVD Collection 2 discs, so that a release appears unlikely this year.display*

Dicen los chismes que después de El Libro de la Selva (Primavera 2014) se viene La Bella Durmiente Edición Diamante (Otoño 2014) para promocionar "Maléfica", por lo que se piensa que Aladdin definitivamente no será diamante. A ver si luego la sacan o si ya de plano la sacan como edición normal.

Yo creo que siempre habrá alguien buscando un película Disney y si esa formula les ha funcionado por mas de 50 o 60 años lo seguirán haciendo por el resto de sus días.

Disney's Academy Award-nominated 1983 animated featurette Mickey's Christmas Carol will make its Blu-ray debut in a 30th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy combo pack ($36.99 SRP) arriving November 5th.
Joined by other unspecified cartoons to bring its 26-minute runtime up to 95 minutes

On the same day, the studio will also release Winnie the Pooh: A Very Merry Pooh Year in a "Gift of Friendship Edition" Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy combo pack. The direct-to-video 2002 movie makes use of the 1991 TV special Winnie the Pooh and Christmas Too and adds some original content as well.

Honestly, a 2.5 is probably being too generous. This is, without a doubt, the bottom of the barrel when it comes to the animated presentations Disney has made available on Blu-ray.

While it offers a solid DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround track, it also struggles with a mediocre video presentation and a slim supplemental package. Hardly the stuff of 50th Anniversary legend. And yet The Sword in the Stone has never looked or sounded better. It may not be a perfect movie, it may not be a particularly pretty presentation, but fans shouldn't steer clear. Despite all its problems, I have to say it's still worth owning, warts and all.

Definitivamente se ve muy mal, pero pone esto el review también:

Granted, The Sword in the Stone has never been blessed with precision animation or a pristine source, and I'm sure most of the trouble here at least began with the original elements. However, I strongly suspect -- having carefully analyzed the film three times on three different displays, then poring over dozens of screenshots -- that the choices made over the course of remastering the film for high definition have only made things worse. Much worse.

Malas noticias, aunque si es cierto que nunca ha sido material de referencia, pero pues ni modo aún así la comprare.

Que triste, la espada en la piedra es una de mis favoritas, y según veo en esos screencaps, la violaron SEVERAMENTE. Es claro que con esta en lugar de restaurarla simplemente le aplicaron un filtro de acuarela en photoshop, muy mal.
